Jrue Holiday, E’Twaun Moore not expected to play vs. Philadelphia

New Orleans expects to be without its recent starting backcourt for a second straight game Thursday, after Alvin Gentry said in pregame that Jrue Holiday and E’Twaun Moore will likely be sidelined against Philadelphia. Playing without the pair Monday vs. Memphis – both have toe injuries – the Pelicans lost in double overtime to the Grizzlies in excruciating fashion.

“I wouldn’t think at this stage that they’re going to be able to play,” Gentry said of Holiday and Moore’s status against the 76ers. “(For Holiday), the turf toe is more annoying than anything, but as much stopping and going as you do over the course of an NBA game, especially if you’re going to play 30 minutes, it’s a tough injury.
