There should have been about six more weeks left of regular season basketball, but when the calendar flipped to April, it felt like New Orleans had decided to skip right to summer league action — the Pelicans were suddenly relying completely on inexperienced youth and journeymen to win games.
Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball have yet to appear in a game this month, and Josh Hart and Steven Adams sat out Friday’s loss to the Hawks, too. Needing surgery on his UCL ligament in his thumb, Hart’s season is potentially finished and it’s anybody’s guess as to when we’ll see most of the other regulars again.
