Ingram out, McCollum in for Pelicans first preseason game against Bulls

When the Pelicans and Bulls tip-off tonight in the United Center, two former high-profile teammates will be relegated to the sidelines.

Brandon Ingram, who was listed on the injury report as questionable with left fifth toe soreness, will not suit up in Chicago.

The Bulls will be without Lonzo Ball, who recently underwent surgery on his left knee again and is expected to miss at least several months. However, consider that a tentative timeline. Ball hasn’t played since Jan. 14 due to that ailing knee.

“You always try to stay optimistic that this will get resolved and he’ll be fine,” Billy Donovan said last week.
