Ian Clark has been nonexistent in the heavy majority of New Orleans Pelicans games this year. That doesn’t mean he’s not dangerous. While the entire Pelicans team actually shot well (53.4%), it was Clark that led the way. The guard scored 19 points in 22 minutes, going 7-of-11 from the field (5-of-7 from three).
In doing so, Clark helped to mask two major problems.
The first has been going on all season long. New Orleans can’t hold onto the basketball. Once again, they had problems with turnovers (third-worst 15.9 per game this year). The good news here is that the Pelicans cleaned themselves up in the second half.
