High-scoring Pelicans quintet may see more time together

PHOENIX – After an extended period in which it wasn’t possible due to injuries and health-related restrictions, New Orleans (7-18) was able to put the five-man group of Jrue Holiday, Eric Gordon, Tyreke Evans, Ryan Anderson and Anthony Davis on the floor together for crunch time of Wednesday’s 104-94 win at Utah. Two days after the potent, high-scoring quintet helped pull out a much-needed road victory and capped a 31-15 fourth quarter for the Pelicans, Alvin Gentry indicated we may see more of the lineup. According to NBA Sirius XM radio host Brian Geltzeiler, those five Pelicans had only played six minutes as a group all season prior to Wednesday.
