Langston Galloway circled around a Dante Cunningham pick near the left sideline, caught a Jrue Holiday pass and – with his momentum heading completely away from the basket – fired a 25-foot three-pointer anyway. At first glance, it may have seemed like a questionable decision to launch an off-balance trey near the Dallas bench, but there were a couple things working in Galloway’s favor: One, he hadn’t missed from beyond the arc all night. Two, it was the fourth quarter.
The shooting guard’s seemingly low-percentage look over the Mavericks’ Seth Curry swished through the hoop, keeping him a perfect 5/5 from three-point range Monday, part of Galloway’s 17-point night in a 111-104 victory.
