One of the main criticisms of Jrue’s character is whether or not he has the same leadership abilities as other top-tier point guards. Tonight should provide a good counter-argument to that theory. With AD, Tyreke, Gordon, and Anderson out he put up 22 points, 8 assists, 2 rebounds, a steal, and a block while out “leader-ing” former New Orleans hero Chris Paul. He did have 5 turnovers, including a really embarrassing one late in the game, but as wise men say “with great power… comes the occasional need to try and pass to Omer Asik.”
