The Pelicans are turning the ball over approximately on 20% of their possessions. But so too are the Pistons, the Rockets and — surprisingly — the Nuggets. However, Denver is the only team that hasn’t been sidetracked by the miscues, sitting 2-0 with wins over the Suns and Spurs.
So what does this mean? I’m not sure about Denver, but New Orleans, like Detroit and Houston, are suffering through too much newness. Against seasoned professionals, that’s a recipe for disappointment.
