The last time the Pelicans and Bucks battled in a regular season game, Jrue Holiday was still in New Orleans, Eric Bledsoe was with Milwaukee, and Zion Williamson was held to under 50% from the field for the first time in his NBA career.
In fact, the combination of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez held the rookie phenom to just five makes in 19 field goal attempts (26.3%) — the most inefficient shooting night that Zion’s experienced in 39 professional games to date.
It’ll be fun to watch Holiday and Bledsoe battle each other and their former teams, but seeing how Zion better handles Milwaukee’s size this time round will be of most interest to me.
