Rookie hazing has probably been around nearly as long as the NBA itself, and I’m sure the average fan remembers some of the stories. Fresh faces to the league have been asked to go buy pizza in the middle night, get bagels, doughnuts or coffee early in the mornings, or just be responsible for carrying the bags of veterans.
Among the more famous instances over the last ten years include Blake Griffin wearing a pink Dora the Explorer backpack out in public and Jason Thompson’s Escalade getting filled with popcorn after failing to handle his important rookie duties.
