ESPN projects Anthony Davis to finish 10th in 2017 Most Valuable Player race

ESPN continues to release their NBA summer forecasts for next season and the results remain lukewarm at best when it comes to the New Orleans Pelicans and members of the roster. After predicting Alvin Gentry’s team to place 11th in the Western Conference standings and Buddy Hield to finish 4th in Rookie of the Year, the ESPN forecast team has Anthony Davis settling for 10th in the 2017 MVP vote.

This is a far cry from where Davis was predicted to finish just one year ago. In ESPN’s 2015 Summer Forecast, the New Orleans superstar was projected to finish 2nd with 77 points, coming behind only LeBron James and his 115 points.
