MIAMI – Like many around the NBA on Tuesday night, Miami’s Erik Spoelstra took note of a play during the New Orleans-Portland game in which one perennial Pelicans All-Star tossed a perfect lob pass to a second, resulting in a spinning Anthony Davis dunk that made highlight shows across the country. The DeMarcus Cousins feed to Davis was part of a breakthrough performance by the duo and their team, with New Orleans rolling to a 100-77 home victory over Portland.
“That was a pretty spectacular play,” Spoelstra said Wednesday prior to tonight’s game vs. New Orleans. “The pass was really incredible.
