Over the past several offseasons, the New Orleans Pelicans’ roster has often undergone the NBA version of an extreme makeover, featuring numerous changing faces, leading to what’s been a lack of continuity at times. Although it’s yet to be determined how much the 2015-16 squad will be reshaped when free agency opens July 1, there’s a chance NOLA’s core group could have a similar look.
With shooting guard Eric Gordon officially opting in Thursday to the final year of the four-year contract he signed in 2012, each of the top five scorers for the playoff-qualifying Pelicans (45-37, eighth place in Western Conference) are under contract for ’15-16.
