Eric Gordon and Omer Asik back in starting lineup for Pelicans

HOUSTON – One night after Eric Gordon and Omer Asik were moved to the reserve unit for Tuesday’s home game against Memphis, the shooting guard and center will take on starting responsibilities again Wednesday at Houston.

Alvin Gentry indicated in pregame at the Toyota Center that his starting five tonight will consist of Tyreke Evans, Gordon, Alonzo Gee, Anthony Davis and Asik. Gordon will assume to starting spot that Jrue Holiday filled last night, because Holiday is not playing in back-to-backs and therefore not available vs. the Rockets. Asik’s move back into the first unit means that Alexis Ajinca will return to the second string.
