BOSTON – After a nearly nine-month layoff from NBA games, Donatas Motiejunas will make his New Orleans debut Saturday in Boston, according to Pelicans Coach Alvin Gentry. The center/forward, who was signed this week by New Orleans, practiced with his brand-new teammates Wednesday and Friday, but was inactive Thursday vs. Atlanta, given a bit more time to become acclimated to the club.
“We’ll get him into the game tonight, and let him wet his feet and see how everything is,” Gentry said of Motiejunas, whose last game was April 27 in the playoffs for Houston at Golden State.
