On Sunday, the New Orleans Pelicans released that they will be shutting down Anthony Davis for the remainder of the season after he sustained a knee injury against the Portland Trailblazers on Friday night. In addition to the knee injury, Anthony Davis has also been struggling with a shoulder injury, which is now known to be a torn shoulder labrum, all season.
Johnny Louisiana (@johnnylouisiana) and Rick Stone (@rickstonenba) debated whether or not it was the right decision for the Pelicans to shut Anthony Davis down at this moment in time. For the purposes of the debate, the two writers were operating under the assumption that Anthony Davis could have reasonably played through his injuries if the team chose for him to do so.
