Cheick Diallo may have only walked away with All-NBA Second Team honors from Las Vegas, but no other high volume shooter in the tournament was able to surpass his scoring efficiency. Furthermore, his teammate, Quinn Cook, also managed to finish within the top 5 of this important category.
Now before you ridicule me for drinking the summer league kool-aid, I understand typical raw stats should be taken with a grain of salt, as should fancy awards. Go look at the summer league MVP list — the more recent recipients read more like a where-are-they-now rather than a prestigious who’s who directory.
