Over a four-week period since New Orleans wrapped up its 2015-16 regular season in Minnesota, it's partly been a chance to get a rare breather from basketball and recharge. That relatively quiet comes to an end Thursday, when the Pelicans will observe 60-plus college and international player prospects at the 2016 draft combine in Chicago, the first of a series of important upcoming dates on the calendar. On May 17, New Orleans will find out at the lottery where it will be picking in the first round of next month's draft, setting the stage for draft workouts and the draft itself June 23.
