Oklahoma Sooners star Buddy Hield was one of the most dynamic scorers in college basketball last year, and he'll hope to have similar success with the New Orleans Pelicans after they made him the No. 6 overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft Thursday night.
Hield averaged 25.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in his senior year with the Sooners.
ESPN.com's Chad Ford believes he will have an immediate impact in New Orleans:
The Pelicans select Oklahoma SG Buddy Hield. Instant offense on a team that is going to need to replace Eric Gordon's shooting.
