Like Murray, Hield is exactly what the Pelicans need to pace Alvin Gentry’s offense, and doubles as a replacement for the lost shooting of Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson.
He’s a combo guard who can handle bringing the ball up the court, start an offense in the midcourt, and most importantly is lethal from behind the line. Last year through 19 games, Hield was part of the non existent 50 50 90 club, a club reserved for literally no one, averaging 50 from two, three and 90 from the free throw line.
