3: Anthony Davis’ age in years when Kobe Bryant made his official NBA debut on Nov. 3, 1996. The 20-year veteran and Hall of Fame lock played much of his pro career before Davis was even an adolescent; the Chicago native was born March 11, 1993. As a result of injuries, the two stars haven’t competed against each other often over Davis’ four-year career, but the Pelicans were 3-0 last season against the Lakers when Bryant was in uniform.
