It’s a phrase I didn’t legitimately believe I would say until the loss to the Brooklyn Nets on January 2, 2019 really turned my stomach. The Pelicans bench was abominable, yes, but the team lacked the requisite fight and enthusiasm playing together to warrant a legitimate future. Coupled with today’s trade request, it’s imperative ownership and the front office, whomever that may be (Troy Weaver call me), get on the same page about making a Davis trade in the best long-term interests of the franchise.
