LOS ANGELES -- Anthony Davis will miss his second straight game with a lower back contusion for the New Orleans Pelicans, who play the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday night at Staples Center.
Davis sustained the injury in the first quarter of a home loss to the Indiana Pacers on Friday by leaping over the first row of fans in an effort to save a ball heading out of bounds and landed hard on his back. X-rays taken soon after the game came back negative.
"It was one of those freak things where he fell and got a bruise there.
