NEW ORLEANS – The NBA announced today that New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis has been named to the 2016-17 All-NBA First Team. The distinction is the second in Davis’ five years in the NBA.
Davis, 6-10, 252, finished the season ranked fourth in the NBA points per game (28.0 – career-high), seventh in rebounds per game (11.8 – career-high) and second in blocks per game (2.2), becoming just the eighth player in NBA history to finish the season ranked among the top seven of all three categories. Davis finished the regular season with 49 double-doubles (ranked T-8th) and led the league with 12 35-point, 15-rebound performances.
