Anthony Davis makes 2017 NBA All-Defensive Second Team, Jrue Holiday earns votes

Anthony Davis was named to the 2017 NBA All-Defensive Second Team earlier today.

During the 2016-17 season, Davis tallied 167 blocks, good for third in the league as he finished behind only Rudy Gobert and Myles Turner. His 94 steals was the 28th highest total but third among all big men, trailing just Andre Drummond and DeMarcus Cousins.

According to the ESPN’s defensive real plus minus statistic, Davis posted the sixth highest DRPM (3.90).

Also earning votes in the 2017 defensive team nominations was Jrue Holiday who garnered five nods.
