Anthony Davis is expected to play at Sacramento

SACRAMENTO – Roughly an hour before tip-off Wednesday at Sleep Train Arena, the Pelicans annoucned that Anthony Davis (back contusion) is expected to play. It had been deemed a game-time decision.

“He’ll go out and try, see how he feels,” Alvin Gentry said of the two-time All-Star’s status during the coach's pregame media session. “We’ll see after warmups how he feels.”

Gentry said Davis will be under no restrictions. Davis has not been on the floor since Friday vs. Indiana, when he took a nasty spill after diving into the second row of the stands at the Smoothie King Center.
