New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis finished sixth in voting for the Kia Most Improved Player award for the 2014-15 season. Jimmy Butler of the Chicago Bulls won the award.
Davis, who improved his scoring from 20.8 point a game to 24.4, also increased his season averages for blocks, assists, steals and rebounds. He led the Pelicand to their first playoff appearance since the 2010-11 season. While Davis hasn't won any end-of-the-season honors he's consistently been among the top vote-getters.
The 22-year-old out of Kentucky finished fifth in MVP voting and finished runner-up for the league's Sportsmanship Award.
