Anthony Davis finishes 4th in NBA Defensive Player of the Year voting

With news of the NBA award winners starting to trickle over the last few days it was only a matter of time before New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis was going to be finishing in the top five of a few awards races. On Thursday morning the first of those two potential top five finishes was announced as Davis finished fourth in the voting for NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

Davis received 11 of the 129 available first place votes to go along with 15 second place votes and seven third place votes, ultimately finishing behind San Antonio Spurs star Kawhi Leonard who won the award, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green and Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan.
