Their Western Conference teams are among several squads that will vie for a playoff berth over the final two months of the regular season, but on Saturday, New Orleans’ Anthony Davis and Denver’s Nikola Jokic went head-to-head in the NBA’s skills challenge. Jokic – whose eighth-place Nuggets are currently 2.5 games ahead of Davis’ Pelicans in the conference standings – prevailed, eliminating Davis in Round 1.
Davis took an early lead with a better start in the dribbling and passing portions of the competition and had a chance to oust Jokic by sinking his first three-point attempt, but it misfired.
