Anthony Davis didn’t practice for second straight day, but Alvin Gentry says Davis should be ‘fine’ to play vs. Cleveland

Barring any rest-game decisions, the Cleveland Cavaliers will bring their star-studded trio to the Smoothie King Center on Monday for their once-a-season visit to New Orleans. It appears as though the Pelicans will also have their All-Star in the lineup.

New Orleans second-year head coach Alvin Gentry said Sunday morning that Anthony Davis did not practice for a second straight day, with the fifth-year NBA veteran dealing with the right quad bruise he sustained Friday vs. Brooklyn. However, Gentry indicated that Davis will be ready to play against the Cavaliers by tomorrow night.

“I think he’ll be fine,” Gentry said of Davis’ status.
