Amid Tony Allen injury news, New Orleans Pelicans suddenly in need of healthy players again

The Pelicans announced today that Tony Allen will reportedly miss between three and four weeks due to a non-displaced left proximal fibula fracture. Allen’s leg collided with Philadelphia’s Amir Johnson in the first quarter of Sunday night’s win over the 76ers and he did not return after lasting just a minute into the game.

In 22 games off the bench, Allen was averaging four points and two rebounds in 12 minutes of action.

With Solomon Hill likely out until around the All-Star break, two of the Pelicans top perimeter defenders are now sidelined for an extended period of time.
