The New Orleans Pelicans came out of the gate looking good, taking an early 8-7 lead, but then things quickly fell apart as the Bucks went on an extended run for the rest of the quarter. The Pelicans ended the first quarter with their lowest opening quarter total of the season so far, scoring just 20 points in the first 12 minutes while the Bucks put up 35.
The Bucks led by as much as 28 in the second quarter and while the Pelicans went on a number of small runs the rest of the game, they were never able to get within even single digits at any point in the second half.
