The New Orleans Pelicans welcomed Derrick Favors back to the starting line-up tonight for the first time since November 16 as he has missed time due to both injury and personal reasons following the death of his mother.
While Favors only played 15 minutes tonight, he looked good in that limited time, getting eight points and eight rebounds.
A lack of frontcourt depth has been a major issue for the Pelicans with Favors missing, putting a lot of pressure on Jahlil Okafor and Jaxson Hayes. With Favors returning, the team now has their best rim protector and rebounder back.
