The Pelicans have had a hard time starting games well all season long, often falling behind early, finding themselves in a hole they can’t quite get out of. Tonight, though, the Pelicans started off well, taking an early lead and ending the first quarter tied.
They picked things up even more to start the second quarter, going on an 11-0 run to take a double digit lead early. It was a great change of pace for a team that has quite regularly come out of the gate appearing unprepared and overwhelmed, waiting until the second half to find any semblance of a rhythm.
