Recently, fellow contributor Seth Nefsky wrote a piece highlighting why he thinks the New Orleans Pelicans will miss the NBA Playoffs this season. I personally think they will make it again. Here is why.
Offensive Efficiency
The Pelicans finished first last year in pace, however, it’s not only the number of shots you take, but also the quality of those shots.
To that end, the Pels finished tied for 8th in the NBA in offensive efficiency at 107.7 points per 100 possessions. Of the top 10 teams ranked on the offensive efficiency list, nine of those teams made the playoffs last year.
