The New Orleans Pelicans had been waiting on news about Tyreke Evans injured knee since the moment that he was officially ruled out for the reminder of Saturday’s Game 1 of the Pelicans first round series against the top seeded Golden State Warriors. Initially things didn’t sound good as Evans was reported to have “heard a pop” in his knee by ESPN’s Marc Stein which meant an MRI was scheduled for Sunday morning. Luckily the Pelicans got some good news.
The news is huge for the Pelicans who were able to battle back into the game in the fourth quarter and figure out some things that may work going forward against the Warriors.
