Merely bringing up his name launches the typical sportswriter or blogger into a general manager fantasy of what the New Orleans Pelicans should have done rather than trade for Mr. Holiday. Invariably Holiday himself is no longer the focal point of the discussion; instead all the energy is used up on Dell Demps, Sam Hinkie, and the right way to build around a superstar.
