LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State women's tennis team fell in its dual season home-opener against Northern Arizona 5-2 early Friday afternoon at the NM State Tennis Center.
Northern Arizona raced out to an early lead, winning the doubles point. Rebecca Keijzerwaard and Quinty Janssen fell to the Lumberjacks' Hanneke Lodewijks and Ellie Millard 6-1 on court No. 2. Shortly thereafter, Helena Colvee and Vanessa Valdez lost 6-4 on court No. 3 before Eirene Granville and Brandy Walker of NAU completed the sweep with the 6-4 win over Lindsay Harlas and Yadira Rubio.
