Women's Tennis Bested by Sun Devils in Afternoon Match

TEMPE, Ariz. – The New Mexico State women's tennis team fell at No. 50 Arizona State Wednesday afternoon 4-0 at the Whiteman Tennis Center.

Doubles play didn't start great for the Aggies as they went up against stout competition. The No. 3 doubles team of and wasn't able to get past ASU's 65th-ranked team on court No. 3 and fell 6-1. and were tested by Arizona State's (8-8) tandem of Lauryn John Baptiste and Ilze Hattingh – who were ranked second in the country – and fell 6-1 not too far after.
