Women's Tennis Advances to WAC Championship Match

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The NM State women's tennis team cruised to a 4-0 victory on Saturday at the Brownsville Tennis Center against the No. 4-seed, Seattle U, in the second semifinal match of the Western Athletic Conference Championship.

The Redhawks (11-15) came out firing in doubles action with a 6-2 win over NM State's (11-9) No. 1 doubles pair. However, New Mexico State's No. 2 doubles pair of Ashvarya Shrivastav – the reigning WAC Player of the Year – and Rimpledeep Kaur powered through SU's pair for the 6-2 win.
