Women's Soccer Honored with NSCAA Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY – The 2015-16 New Mexico State women's soccer team was honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America on Thursday as the NSCAA announced its Team Academic Award.

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The team GPA was determined by every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.

New Mexico State checked in with a team GPA of 3.45 and was one of six schools in the Western Athletic Conference to earn the honor with Grand Canyon and UMKC earning the honor for both men's and women's.
