Women's Soccer Heads Home After Loss

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The NM State women's soccer team heads home for its final match of the regular-season after wrapping up its road trip on Sunday with a 5-2 loss to CSU Bakersfield at the Main Soccer Field.

The 'Runners came after the NM State (4-12-2, 1-3-2 WAC) defense out of the gates, firing four shots at the goal before Sophie Freeman was able to find the back of the net to give the home team a 1-0 lead.

Senior looked to equalize the match at the 5:05 mark when she put her laces on ball towards the goal, but CSUB's (8-9-1, 4-2-0 WAC) Jen Padilla was able to get a hand on it to keep the Aggies down 1-0.
