NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced the players of the week on Monday morning. After a career night on the road versus Sun Belt foe Texas State, New Mexico State defensive end Cedric Wilcots II earned the defensive player of the week nod.
Wilcots was all over the field on Saturday posting five tackles, including a career-high four sack. The sack total had not been recorded by an Aggie since Aubrey Dorisme had three against Middle Tennessee on Oct. 11, 2003.
The sophomore also tallied three forced fumbles, the first three of his career.
