LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The New Mexico State volleyball team announced the hiring of Gregg Whitis as an assistant coach, head coach Mike Jordan said on Wednesday morning.
"Gregg is a tremendous coach with a ton of experience and success," said Jordan. "I've gotten to know him over the years and he is a great person with a ton of energy and a lot to offer. We're all looking forward to having him on board."
Whitis last coached at Arizona where he spent seven seasons from 2013-2020. During his seven year stint in Tucson, the Wildcats won 132 matches and qualified for the NCAA Tournament six times including a run to the Sweet 16 in 2016.
