DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference announced the 2017 Academic All-WAC honorees on Thursday. In total, 27 New Mexico State student-athletes spread between women's soccer, women's cross country and volleyball received recognition from the league..
The women's soccer squad was well represented with 12 student-athletes earning the honor. Women's cross country had nine runners recognized while volleyball had six team members named to the all-academic team.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
