LEXINGTON, Ky. – New Mexico State All-America candidate Gwen Murphy has been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region team for the Midwest Region, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced Tuesday.
“We’re really proud of Gwen,” said head coach Mike Jordan. “She’s had an All-American caliber year and she’s earned every award given to her. She’s one of the great players to ever wear the Crimson and White.”
By being named First Team All-Region, Murphy is now eligible to be named to the All-America team, which will be announced next week at the AVCA Convention in Omaha, Neb.
