Two MLB Draftees Choose NM State Over Professional Baseball

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After being selected in the 2016 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft, junior college transfers Caleb Henderson and Marcus Still have opted to honor their National Letters of Intent to play baseball at New Mexico State in 2017. Henderson was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 29th round as the 866th overall pick and Still was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 31st round as the 942nd overall pick.

"One of the three pillars of our coaching staffs' vision is to recruit and develop," said head coach Brian Green.
