Track and Field Wraps Up at the Bobcat Invitational

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS - New Mexico State track and field competed in the final day of the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday.

"We had several improvements in the throws, middle distance and sprints," co-interim head coach Larry Carmichael said.

On the field, Kayli Farmer won the women's javelin as she threw a mark of 43.72m (143-5) on her fifth attempt. Alyssa Covarrubia placed sixth in the event with a mark of 38.21m (125-4).

Many of the Aggies sprinters saw seasonal improvements at the meet. Lashira Tremble clocked in at 11.
