ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico State women's indoor track and field team wrapped up at the New Mexico Classic on Saturday.
"Overall, we were pleased with the results today," co-interim head coach Larry Carmichael said. "We feel like we are moving in the right direction as a team."
Katara Nelson impressed in her first attempt at the 400m run this season. The senior clocked in for a team best 57.41. She currently leads the WAC in the event.
The Aggies saw many athletes set season records in the mile. Crissey Amberg set a new personal best as she placed fifth among collegiate athletes and seventh overall.
