LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The New Mexico State track and field team put up impressive performances on Friday as the Aggies competed in the first day of the Willie Williams Classic. Many athletes had top five finishes in the meet including four who placed first in their respective events.
"We were pleased with many of the performances," co-interim head coach Larry Carmichael said. "We're looking forward to seeing what opening times and distances we can put up tomorrow."
LaShya Cole had the top performance in the long jump. Cole jumped 5.
